Golf for a Brighter Future Tees Off Support for Children’s Education in Nairobi

Date: August 21, 2026 Category: Event

Nairobi, Kenya, 24 August 2026, Bridge International Academies Foundation on Friday hosted the Golf for a Brighter Future Charity Tournament at the Kenya Railway Golf Club in Nairobi. The event brought together over 100 golfers alongside corporate partners, business leaders and philanthropists in support of children’s education, school nutrition and access to essential learning resources across Kenya’s underserved communities, as part of the organisation’s #NoChildLeftBehind initiative.

This commitment to #NoChildLeftBehind reflects the Foundation’s belief that quality education extends beyond the classroom. Children also need proper nutrition, essential learning resources and a supportive environment to truly learn, grow and thrive. Bridge currently serves more than 22,000 learners across Kenya’s underserved communities, and initiatives such as this tournament help sustain that impact, supporting efforts such as school fee subsidies and the provision of learning materials children need to succeed.

Speaking at the tournament’s awarding ceremony, Reuben Mwangi, Group Managing Director, Bridge International Academies Foundation, said:

“Golf for a Brighter Future is about much more than a day on the golf course. It is about coming together around something that matters deeply to all of us, the future of our children. Achieving quality education for every child requires partnerships, investment and a collective commitment from different sectors of society. Today’s turnout demonstrates the power of that collaboration, and our commitment remains firmly focused on ensuring more children have the opportunity to learn, thrive and build a better future.”

Bridge Foundation appreciates Sanlam Allianz, the corporate partner in the tournament, alongside other partners, sponsors and philanthropists who came together to support this initiative for children.

The event also provided an opportunity to strengthen relationships with partners and stakeholders who share a commitment to advancing education and improving outcomes for children. Through its #OneCupOneFuture initiative, the Foundation is also working to address school nutrition as an important component of children’s learning and development.

The Foundation remains committed to building partnerships that expand access to quality education for children in underserved communities across Kenya. The organisation welcomes sponsors, donors and partners to join this journey and help ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn, thrive and succeed.
