Bridge Uganda Pupils PLE Results

We believe that an excellent education foundation coupled with dedicated exam prep will  set students up for future success. Because of this, Bridge Uganda pupils have had amazing, continuous success in the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) – the exam that every grade 7 pupil in Uganda must take at the end of primary school.

National Exam (PLE)

PLE: Uganda Primary Leaving Examination

At the end of primary school in Uganda (Primary 7) pupils sit their first major national exam— the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE). PLE has four examinable subjects: English Language, Maths, Science, and Social Studies. Each subject is scored from one to nine which means the best possible mark a pupil can achieve is four (which means one point—a distinction—in each subject) ranging to a total of 36 (nine points for each subject).

Your result is therefore the total number of points you’re awarded—sometimes called an aggregate. A low score is better than a high score.

Your aggregate determines which Division you achieve:

  • 4–12: Division One
  • 13–23: Division Two
  • 14–29: Division Three
  • 30–34: Division Four

This independent government exam enables our pupils to be compared with those in neighbouring schools and in schools across Uganda.
