About The Programme

Bridge International Academies Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to expanding access to quality education for children in underserved communities across Kenya.

In line with this mission, the Uji Feeding Program is a child-centered initiative designed to improve early childhood education (ECD) attendance, and learning outcomes across Kenya.

Through the #OneCupOneFuture campaign, Bridge International Academies Foundation will provide a daily cup of fortified porridge (Uji) to more than 1,000 learners everyday.

In many low-income communities, hunger is one of the biggest barriers to education. A simple, nutritious cup of porridge each morning keeps children in school, focused, and ready to learn.

Impact Story

At Bridge Kinoo in Nairobi, three-year-old Prince Jesse begins his mornings full of hope, curiosity, and a love for learning. But not long ago, his school days looked very different. Each morning, Jesse arrived tired. His eyes told the story of a child trying his best to learn while battling the emptiness of hunger. Concentration was hard, playtime was short, and his once-bright energy slowly faded. When Bridge introduced the One Cup, One Future Uji programme, everything began to change. A simple cup of warm, nutritious Uji gave him the strength to focus in class. With each serving, he became more attentive, playful, and eager to learn. His teachers noticed the difference right away. His confidence bloomed, his smile returned, and his curiosity came alive again. Now, Jesse starts each day ready to learn, laugh, and dream. That single cup of Uji has become his daily source of energy, focus, and joy.
